MED-ENEC is co-organizing the Arab Forum on Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency "Building Financing Partnerships”
The Secretariat of the League of Arab States / Secretariat of the Arab Ministerial Council of Electricity is organizing a forum on renewable energy and energy efficiency titled: (Arab Forum for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency) in cooperation with the European Union mission in Cairo, the Euro Mediterranean Energy Market Integration Project (MED-EMIP), The Energy Efficiency in the Construction Sector in the Mediterranean Project (MED-ENEC), the Regional Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE) and the ESCWA.
The Forum will be held on 23 and 24 April at the General Secretariat in Cairo under the auspices of the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, HE Dr/ Hassan Ahmed Younes, Minister of Electricity and Energy, Arab Republic of Egypt Chairman of the Executive Office of the Arab Ministerial Council for electricity, and the Ambassador of the European Union. The theme of the forum is “Building Financing Partnerships".
It should be noted that the forum comes in implementation of the decision of the Executive Bureau of the Arab Ministerial Council for Electricity No. 192 which stipulates in its third paragraph: "To hold a forum on funding mechanisms and financial incentives to promote renewable energy and energy efficiency with the participation of banks, funds and Arab financial institutions as well as private sector interested in investing in renewable energy and energy conservation, and to invite stakeholders to contribute to the preparation and organization of the event.”
